My Spawn, almost 9, has loved Hardy Boys and whats also so great is that you can find the old ones in flea markets and vintage/antique shops. He also loves Nancy Drew. They are great books. Lately his fav to get at the library are big books of comics..he has devoured all the Calvin and Hobbs and has now moved on to Garfield. Although his insistence to read them all aloud at the "funny" parts is annoying. I remember Garfield was cool when I was in 5th grade, I am almost 40. (sticks fork in eye).

Love your blog..thanks for the link on your fb page. Hope you and the fam can come to my party on the 20th..see fb account for invite.

(am dreaming of Swans, Swans and Lakes.)

OK, I see that your kids are in 1st & 3rd. My boys are 4th & 6th. You have lots of good reading to come! My younger one wasn't ready for Gregor until 3rd, but I started reading it with my older son when he was in 2nd. Cute about your son and his readers' advisory interview. :)
