Trees and history rolled into one, sounds like an intriguing book.

I love how you tied it in with your own willow tree.

I'm not quite sure photographs says "This is true" in the computer age. I have seen photographs in children's books that are obviously poor Photoshop compilations. Plus, taking a good photograph of a tree requires a wide angle lens and some skill. But I do agree that sometimes illustrations that are too stylized seem to indicate the book is fiction rather than nonfiction.
